La Petite Vendeuse de Soleil (The Little Girl Who Sold the Sun), 1999, is Senegalese filmmaker Djibril Diop Mambéty's final film which premiered after his death in 1998. It tells the story of a young girl, Sili who courageously makes her way into the newspaper-selling business in Dakar, a job typically held by boys.
